Saare Wind Energy bird survey fieldworks are completed

The fieldwork to conduct the bird survey for the Saare Wind Energy offshore wind farm´s environmental impact assessment (EIA) is now completed. The final report is expected to be published in the following months.

The projected Saare Wind Energy offshore wind farm would cover around 200 square kilometers southwest of Saaremaa and could produce up to 1,400 MW of clean energy. Conducted bird survey is part of the EIA survey in order to evaluate its possible environmental impact. The data cathered, whic was carried out in cooperation with top scientists, will be crucial to guaranteeing the development of wind farm in a sustainable way.
